How to play
Object
In 4 Degrees, you are competing against each other and against the clock to score the highest number of points.
Game Basics
6 players play 6 challenges (1 from each category). Everyone plays every challenge, but players take turns choosing the categories, rolling the die and receiving bonuses to their scores.
Category Wheel
The 4Degrees Game Server will designate a player to choose a category for the first challenge. If itÕs your turn, your name and icon will appear in the top left corner of the screen. Select the category you want for this challenge by tapping it with your finger. As soon as you have made your choice, the die willroll, telling you the multiplier for points you either win or lose on this challenge. All other players play for the standard value of up to 50 points.
Playing the Challenge
Once the category is selected, the game poses a challenge: for example, ÒName this fairy tale.Ó The information you are given to solve the challenge is in the form of four degrees, or clues. All players get to answer the challenge using their iPhones. When you think you know the answer, make your choice from the options at the bottom of the iPhone screen by pressing A, B, C, or D. Once you have entered your choice, you can't change your answer.
The point value counts down on the counter located in the lower middle of the screen. As the challenge progresses, each of the 4 Degrees or clues makes your choice easier, but the longer you wait to answer, the fewer points you'll receive. If you answer incorrectly, you'll lose that number of points.
If it's your turn and you rolled 2X you will earn or lose double the number shown on the counter at the time you made your choice. A roll of 3X would triple this score and a roll of 1/2 would halve it. A blank roll means you are playing for the standard point total - the same as all the other players.
Within the forth degree or clue, we give you a big hint, either in the picture or in a word that's in quotes. When the time is up, the answer is revealed, followed by a scoreboard. At this point you can proceed to the next challenge by pressing the “next” button. After you press “next” the game will designate another player to choose the next category.
After the six challenges are complete, the winner is announced and players can either quit or start a new game.
